How do I drive an Electric Vehicle (EV)?

Starting your electric vehicle is similar to most modern cars. Turn on the car by pressing the "start" button and you will instantly notice the lack of sound. Electric motors, when stationary, are silent.

In terms of driving experience, an EV is similar to driving an automatic car. As electric cars have a single-gear system, they are always automatic. Keep the brake pedal pressed and switch your car to "D" to drive or "R" to reverse. Your car will start driving as you release the brake and press the acceleration pedal.

You will notice that the acceleration of an EV is a lot quicker at lower speeds than a conventional internal combustion engine car. So, be gentle with the throttle when you start driving.

Once you have arrived at your destination and you have parked your car. Keep the brake pressed, switch the car from "D" or "R" to "P" for parking. Press the start button to turn the engine off.
